Proffessor i Ide och lärdomshistoria Ola Fransson, Malmö Högskola säger att lärarnas status inte höjs genom att den sker uppifrån. De måste få större frihet att ta egna beslut. Senaste åren har kontrollen skärpts med olika styrdokument. Alica Mickwitz vid Södertörns högskola bekräftar hans resonemang då hon har sett hur lärare har gått från professionalitet till en grupp som i behov av kontroll och kvalitetsgranskning. En naturlig reaktion på sådant system är likgiltighet!
TALIS
En ganska så ny rapport är publicerad av OECD ” TALIS 2013 Results – An International Perspective on Teaching and Learning”, vilken visar på en del intressanta detaljer om lärares fortbildning och behov av att samarbeta för bättre resultat. En av medlemmarna Kristen Weatherby, Institute of Education, University College London, ”conduct research that aims to study whether there is a relationship between teachers’ participation in an online community of practice and any changes ma(de to their teaching”. Now she is conducting a ”CAS Teacher Survey 2015” that describes the impact of CAS online community.
From the TALIS homepage: ”The focus of the OECD Teaching and Learning International Study (TALIS) reports so far have been on lower secondary education. This report now extends the picture to both primary and upper secondary teachers and reveals that the challenges and work of teachers can vary significantly across levels of education. Similarities and differences in some areas are revealed, such as the need for support for training, personnel and material resources at all levels of the school system.”
